Accents tell stories of where we come from, and there isn’t a CORRECT ACCENT. Pronunciations also vary among English speakers from different parts of the world. Therefore, I will not CORRECT your accent/pronunciation but simply tell you this is how I say a particular word from where I learned my English language (Canada & the UK). ↘️ I don’t teach English proficiency exams (the way you think). Tests and exams mostly reflect how good you are at taking them. To learn useful and practical English, I will guide you towards understanding the culture and history of the language, which in turn, may help you not only pass the exams but use it in real-life situations. ↘️ I won't ask you to memorize vocabulary or phrases (the way you think). Simply staring at vocabulary/phrases is not going to help you remember them long-term. What I'd do (and if you're willing and have the time) is to assign you take-home assignments to complete before our next lesson. Also, exposure equals familiarity. If the vocabulary/phrases are useful to you, you'll see them more often as you continue on this learning journey.
