👩‍🎓 Currently a law student at the University of South Africa, I also have experience as a tutor for over 5 years and have completed several online teaching courses from Coursera and FutureLearn. 📖 I have assisted elementary and high school students with subjects such as physical science and mathematics. 📚 I also have taught adults writing skills for university-level essays and helped them create outstanding resumes. 🏆I am currently in the process of obtaining my TESOL certificate. 📕 I offer lessons that focus on developing a good vocabulary, grammar skills and communication skills. 📄Business English and English literature are also topics I cover. Depending on a student’s goals and experience, I tailor classes to meet their needs. Preparation for the IELTS and TOEFL are topics I cover as well. 🤓 I evaluate students by their attention skills. I want to see what they have learned during the lesson and how they will be able to apply that. They must genuinely feel that they have retained information and learned something that will help them. 📝 By using different assessment methods such as quizzes and graded assignments, I will have a better insight into my progress as a teacher and they as students. 👷🏾‍♀️I have worked in various different fields and have gained a lot of great experiences and skills that I want to apply in environment where I can make a positive impact in the lives of my students. 👩‍🎓 My goals are to develop a good teaching style and implement that into my work. I would also like to work in different areas and teach students of all ages. 📚 The teaching style I have chosen focuses on understanding and actively learning. The Direct Approach is also a style that I like. It helps with polishing skills and gaining experience which is important in learning. This will help me and my students as I will be interacting and encouraging them to learn more.
