Sage29 Jan 2025I have had more than 10 lessons with John, mainly focusing on IELTS. I first took the IELTS test in November 2024 but did not achieve my desired score, so I decided to retake it. To improve, I purchased 10 lessons, 110 minutes each with John, focusing on writing and speaking. As a result, I increased my overall band score to 7.5 two months later, in January 2025. It's no wonder that these lessons helped me a lot and were the main reason for my score improvement. For the writing sections, John provided many useful strategies for both Task 1 and Task 2. I was more struggling with Task 1, as I was unsure of the direction of the overview and which data points to focus on. The strategies John suggested gave me a clearer sense of understanding the task and use my limited time more efficiently. For the speaking sections, he offered tips for each part and also conducted mock tests to strengthen my skills. I had great opportunities to speak during the lessons, so I feel more comfortable answering IELTS test questions and organizing my ideas. My weakness was in Part 3, but John provided me with a structure for how to answer the questions, which helped me organize my ideas and present them clearly to the examiner. I am grateful to have met John; he helped me so much with my test. If you are planning to take the IELTS, I highly recommend his classes. He can definitely help you be better prepared.- Anonymous24 Jan 2025I took M.r John class for 3 months for IELTS Speaking and Writing, I was planning to get 7 in each, but each time I got only 6, by his guidance I could get 7 in Speaking and Writing and 7.5 overall, about his classes , he is very patient in teaching and always energetic, I have never seen one lesson he became tired!! He is so serious in teaching but he is sooo friendly and he can give you a lot of advice for your IELTS Exam, his materials were suitable for me but he doesn't focus on textbook which was so interesting for me, and he has his own special material. besides that, he is so passionate for teaching and always after the class he will send you homework for both Writing and Speaking, some times he would teach you useful points in Wechat that was absolutely Amazing for me in the course that I had with him, I have learned a lot of things in the class also by chatting with him in Wechat, generally speaking I should say he is a professional and friendly teacher. I highly recommend him as your English teacher.
