Hello, my name is Glecy. I’m 36 years old. I was born and raised in the Philippines where English is the official language. Currently, I live and work as an ESL teacher here in Vietnam. In 2008, I graduated from Southern Luzon State University with the degree of Bachelor of Secondary Education, major in English. I passed my Licensure Examination for Teachers the same year after my graduation. I acquired my 36 units academic requirements in my master’s degree last 2016. My teaching styles are very dynamic because I teach students with different levels, from young learners to teenagers. I have experience teaching students in a group set-up or even one on one. I’ve attended training and workshops on how to handle classes for different levels. My teaching strategies and approaches depend on the ability and needs of my students. I can teach different areas in English language like vocabulary, grammar, communication, pronunciation, listening and speaking. I prioritize my students’ interests in doing activities. In my class, you have nothing to worry about if you commit mistakes because that is just a part of learning process. I assure you that I can give my 100% commitment and effort to achieve the learning objectives of my students. I always make sure that my students enjoy my class while learning. I have been working as an English teacher for almost thirteen years now and I’ve done a lot of training and workshops such as IELTS Teaching Training- Workshop (IDP Education, Vietnam), Reading for Life and Exam Success (Oxford Professional Development Webinar), Seminar-Workshop on Culture-Based Teaching (Department of Education, Philippines), International Webinar on Governance, Leadership and Management of Education, and a lot more. For over 9 years, I taught English in a public school in the Philippines. Currently, I am working as an ESL teacher for almost 4 years now.
