I’m 형주, and I’m currently living in Seoul, South Korea. You can call me 형주 선생님 or 주니(Juni) 선생님 — whatever feels more comfortable to you :) A little bit about me — I went to international schools in Shanghai, China for about two and a half years when I was between 11-13. During that time, I naturally picked up English and Chinese, and thanks to friends from many different countries, I grew up with an open heart toward different cultures. In university, I majored in Global Business, which helped me broaden my perspective on the world, cultures, and how different places work. Around that time, I also tutored Korean secondary school students in English. Through that experience, I learned what kind of teacher I am — someone who pauses when students get stuck, checks in gently, gives LOTS of encouragement, and cheers them on. I really believe people grow through kindness and support. Watching students gain confidence not only in their language skills but also in their attitude and energy made me naturally fall in love with teaching. After graduating, I interned at a PR company, studied programming for six months, and later worked as a consultant at a language academy for nine months. These opportunities helped me learn how to use polite, natural Korean in business settings — something I’m happy to help you with too. So whether you’re just starting Korean from zero or preparing for business meetings in Korea, I can be your kind, patient, and very supportive Korean teacher — someone who can explain things in English in a way that you ACTUALLY understand. ** A little sidenote: I love dancing! 💃🏻🕺🏽 hahaha My biggest hobby right now is taking dance classes in Seoul and quite often I learn K-pop choreographies too.
