Black Person in China Making Friends

One of my biggest dreams is to finally travel to China. On many occasions in my life, I have been invited to go to China. When I was doing my PhD at the University of Toronto my supervisor went to China with some students that were part of my thesis group. I did have the opportunity to go. Also, one of my neighbours who is from Singapore named Josephine kept showing me an article in a local newspaper here in Toronto about a trip that the Chinese Embassy and Consulate were promoting for Canadians to get to know China. Josephine kept encouraging me to go. Plus, my father had a tenant for almost 10 years who is now living in China. He had also lived in Japan in the past. Dr. Matthew Risling met his first wife in Japan. What a beautiful woman his first wife Miyoko is! Just before Matt left for China he invited me to go. In all of these situations, I was unable to go. I am still dreaming of a time when the stars will be just right and I will be able to go to China, plus many other countries in south and southeast Asia. Just this past week I began taking Chinese lessons! I had so much fun and I have at least 19 more private Chinese lessons right here on Amazing Talker to go. I will assess where I am at when this class package ends. I am certain that I will need more classes. I love my current teacher. I hope that I will be able to continue learning Chinese with her. I would like to gain fluency in Chinese.
